  I misplaced a package of $12.00 fresh fish. It was in my bags before I got into my taxi but must have fallen out into the cab. Cab company could not find; called Safeway and no questions asked. The assistant manager Darren said to simply come in (he remembered me purchasing it)and they would replace no charge.

  Great meals to go food, ginger beef was fairly cheap and tasted great, samosas we're good as well.

  I usually like this store because they always have the yogurt I prefer. But on my last visit they were almost out of yogurt and I ended up buying my second choice. No big deal, I thought and continued shopping. But then I went to the meat department for some ground beef. It was empty, literally empty. There were huge expanses of completely empty meat coolers. For ground beef, all they had was two packages of regular grade and one of them definitely looked off. I couldn't believe it.

  I called the bakery at 6:02 pm and was told it was closed at six. I explained that I was on hold at Arthur street for ten minutes and I had been in to Arthur street two previous times and no one was in the bakery. She said she couldn’t help me because there was no one in the bakery to take my order. I was an avid Safeway’s shopper even though the prices are higher than most stores because the service was better. I don’t think that is the case any more and I will do my shopping at grocery stores that have the same service and cheaper prices. Here is a thought..... have order forms for the bakery at the customer service desk for when the bakery closes!

  I have always likes the spacious aisles. I find it to be a pleasant store to shop in.
