  My partner and I visited the Blue Door Bistro on Sunday (01.07) and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I had the smoked salmon frittata while she had the classic eggs benedict. Both dishes were great and the homefries were quite tasty. They do also have an appealing gourmet breakfast menu but that ends at either 10:30 or 11:30 so be mindful of that when going. We went around 1 and it was just under half full. The decor isn't overkill and the seating is appropriate for the size of the building. Would definitely return for a brunch when not wanting to feel rushed like some other breakfast places in town.

  I recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks. A true hidden gem in Thunder Bay. Their food, service and small home style restaurant is absolutely the best in this city. The eggs benedict is a favourite, actually ALL of their breakfast is outstanding. We crave their food and love the kindness that exudes from the owners.

  We were fortunate to win the Valentine's Day contest put on by The Blue Door Bistro! We decided to take our toddler with us so we could all enjoy a great meal. The 4 courses we did enjoy were beautifully plated and delicious! In the midst of our 5th course, our little guy wasn't feeling well and Craig and Hollie were so professional, empathetic and quick to get us the last of our 6 courses to go. I can't even begin to describe the quality of the food and the art in preparing it. What a great experience - we'll definitely be back!
