  I, like many people in Thunder Bay eagerly anticipated the opening of Lowes but now that it's here it feels like I got knitted socks for Christmas.

  Had my first shopping experience on Saturday that went without a hitch. However, found the item I purchased elsewhere the next day for considerably less. I couldn't get a price match as the cheaper one was unadvertised but had the easiest experience ever returning the item to Lowe's. I will return (no pun intended).

  Wow... so I went to Lowe's for some shingles and a roof vent.... I get there to be told to go find someone in the department, no-one was around so I walked around and found someone who then tells me that I'd have to come back at 1:00pm, I then return at 1:00pm and the customer service rep tell me and my friends that he'll be right back to help, needless to say I waited for about 20 minutes before I decided to grab my own material. On top of it all as nice as the cashier was she had no idea how to run the shingles through the till and couldn't find the code so we proceeded to grab the shelf tag so she could run it through for us took about an hour for something that should have taking 15 min or less. Then there's the lay out... anyway I'll never return nor recommend you guys.

  I've been through the store wall to wall several times now. Every time I go in I'm looking for something specific but have never left with a product. Never, not even once.

  As far as finding someone who will help/talk to you, good luck. Now if you're looking for someone who actually knows something relevant about a product in the store youll be far less misinformed if you just Google it.

  The layout of the store is ridiculous to the nth degree. It's like they mixed a farmers co-op with a McDonald's drive through. Nothing is where it should be and aisle headers have vague broad ranging labels like "Electrical" where everything from staples to bathroom fans can be found. You know where you can't find bathroom exhaust fans..? In "Bathrooms".
